Lately, I’ve loved wearing all outfit or pairing similar shades of the same hue to create a monochromatic spring look. Not only does wearing more neutrals (along and with each other) allow for more creativity in my daily wardrobe, but it’s actually challenged me to get more wear out of key items by wearing them in ways that I normally wouldn’t put together.
In the past two weeks, I’ve worn some variation of an all white outfit at least twice – once with a linen scarf and then again with an cropped light sweater and high-waisted shorts. And do you recognize this long cardigan?! I’ve worn it like 6 times in the past 3 months (exhibit A: I wore this long cardigan with flared jeans in this post!) – it’s such a great throw on or outfit-completer if that makes sense? It’s the perfect addition to an otherwise boring outfit (like this one above!) that makes it look finished!
Speaking of long cardigans, I’m actually working on a “ways to wear” long cardigans post to show you all the different things you can do with them and why you need some in your spring (and fall – post coming later this year) wardrobes! What do you think? Is that something you’d like to see!
And back to talking about this outfit….what about you? Do you mix neutrals a lot and play around with monochromatic looks? Do you find yourself doing it more in the Spring vs. Fall or vise versa?
