Hey there! Excited to announce that the Shopbop BIG EVENT sale 2016 has begun and it’s a BIG ONE y’all! I always get so overwhelmed with big sales like this because I feel like I have to buy things before they sell out or like it’s a mad race. Do you ever feel that way when it comes to major sales?

Truth is, it’s not a race. Yes, there’s a little bit of urgency since the markdown increases demand (and thus things sell out fast), BUT there’s no need to make rash decisions (something I often do during big sales!). So get yourself a cup of mid-day coffee, take your shoes off and peruse through my sale picks! I did my best to simplify the sale for y’all the way I could and tell you WHY I love certain items. Cupcakes & Cashmere Utility Vest – I own this and have worn it several times over the past month or so. It’s a great vest to throw on over plaid or stripes or a solid white tee. I love how the material and pockets make it look a little more elevated than other utlity vest options out there

 Cozy Pink Sweater – I mean, don’t you want to just cozy up in this thing? Looks so comfy and yet still really cute! I think it would look great with grey jeans (I featured some below) or regular denim too! OR I’m wondering how it would look with white jeans and brown leather riding boots?

BB Dakota Black Cape – How cute is this little number?! I think it’s adorable and would be such a cute day or night time look with skinny jeans or even leather leggings maybe?

Rag & Bone Harrow Booties – I’ve always wanted a pair of these booties. I have another one of the Rag & Bone style booties (also featured below) and wear them all the time. Their booties are made so well and look SO GREAT on. I’ve had mine for 4 years and they still look great. I’ve also heard that this style (the Harrow) hold up pretty well in winter (if you live somewhere with a legit winter season).

J. Brand High-waisted Jeans – these are in my cart! I like how high-waisted they are and the distressing is JUST right

Free People Sweater – if you keep scrolling you’ll see that I’m wearing it below. Y’all, it’s SO COMFY. I will say though, that I wore a long-sleeved shirt under it because it’s a little see through? But it’s so cozy and looks really cute with skinny jeans and booties !

Quay Sunglasses – originally $55 so these would be a fun pair to try!

Clare Vivier Leopard Clutch – if you’ve been following me for a while, then you for sure recognize this clutch because I wear it ALL THE TIME. It’s such a great staple and one I come back to time and time again.

Dolce Vita Tall Suede Boots – how BEAUTIFUL are these? They’re in my shopping cart. I thin they’re so, so pretty.

I also have the BB Dakota cowl neck jacket (in addition to the leather one I featured above) and love having it as an option for throwing on over my going-out top or dress on the chillier nights. • Just bought myself a pair of the heather grey Beyond Yoga Pants and I’m OBSESSED with them. My roomie Erin is in love with them too and I think she’s going to get a pair after feeling the material (it’s a dream!)
• If you need a pretty pair of cognac brown leather booties, I’ve always had a major crush on the madewell billie boots and will eventually get myself a pair.
• Also if you’re wanting a pair HUNTER boots, I love the package ones by hunter in the matte black – they’re AMAZE.
• I’ve been a big fan of Eberjey’s Pajamas for ages now and would recommend them to ANYONE. They’re also a GREAT gift (add a monogram for a little extra touch!). I was excited to see both the pants set (and shorts set) and the sleepshirt are included in the sale!
