Recently on BTD – September Part 1

Hi there Friends! I’m currently in NYC writing this from my hotel lobby and I couldn’t be more excited to head home. I feel like I always say that…because it’s true. Traveling is fun and all, but I’m really just a HUGE homebody when it comes down to it. Plus, I’ve got a big trip coming up in a couple of weeks, so I’m super pumped to get some Dallas/routine time in before jetting off again 🙂

Not sure if it was obvious to y’all or not, but last week was a bit of a hot mess. For some reason it took me WAY too long to write my “road less traveled” post and I ended up skipping 2 days last week (aka I didn’t post for 2 days! eek!). Do you ever feel like you want to say something, but you just can’t get it down on paper? THAT’S how I felt about that post – it drove me CRAZY!

Wore this little number to the launch party of the new Kendra Scott Nail Lacquer line the other week. I just got these studded heels and you guys, they’re so comfy and SO so cute (they look just like the Valentinos!)

This dress is the PERFECT transitional little frock. It’s great for now (when it’s still pretty hot), but would also be super cute with booties and a denim jacket or cardigan when it gets a little more chilly outside! And I love how neutral the floral print is – it’s easy to pair with accessories and shoes.

Spent my last Saturday morning doing life the RIGHT way – aka breakfast and mimosas in bed with my best girlfriends!

Made a pitstop at REI before my trip to Seattle to get all the outdoors-y things and I fell in LOVE with the store (I’d never been there before!) but I’ll admit, I for sure felt like a fish out of water in there lol – especially since I was in my church clothes….
