I wanted to do a quick little recap of last weekend’s trip to NYC. I did my best to gather the photos that I had (which were ALL taken via my iphone!) and tell you what we did each day. Hope you all have a fabulous Friday!
Honestly, I packed WAY too much for the trip but I just couldn’t decide on what to bring…so I kinda of just brought it all (oops!). But I also had to leave room for all the shopping I knew I’d be doing too 🙂
SWEATER: Trouve Turtleneck Sweater (40% OFF) // JEANS: JBrand Luxe Sateen Jeans // SHOES: Grey Booties // PHONE CASE: Marble Phone Case // BAG: Chloe ‘Faye’
Like I said, I couldn’t decide on what to bring…so I ended up bringing WAY too much. But then again, I didn’t really know HOW BAD the weather was going to be so I wanted to safe. AND I didn’t really know what I would need either since my itinerary was pretty fluid – so I wanted to be prepared. Plus, I flew southwest and so I didn’t have to pay extra to bring additional bags anyway.

Lisel (also works for BTD) and I just ended up making friends at the airport since we couldn’t carry it all ourselves. And it just became a joke since we basically had a suitcase for each day we were there (I know…so bad). But in my defense, I didn’t really have to time to outfit plan (which is how smart people pack right?). Next time, I will be sure to plan better 🙂
First up on Friday morning, I had the pleasure of attending the Kate Spade New York Fall 2016 presentation at the Rainbow Room. And of course, I fell in love with the new collection.
But honestly, how could you not? I ALWAYS love what KSNY has in the works and enjoy the presentation (accessories and shoes included!) of the collection. They’re just amaze and continue to WOW me each year. For the presentation, I wore the SS16 “dizzy dress” with black tights and the cutest little KSNY shoes! See below for links.
DRESS: Kate Spade Dizzy Dress // SHOES: ‘Lydia’ Pumps (Petal Pink) // TIGHTS: Hue Opaque Tights // COAT: Pink Coat
this was the view from the rainbow room (on the 65th floor of the Rockafeller Center). And then I accidentally missed my next show because I was having such a great time at KSNY…oops.
(ABOVE – two quick snaps between meetings – it was SO COLD!)
BLAZER: Halogen Blush Blazer // SHIRT: White Button Up Shirt // SKIRT: Leather Skirt // BOW: Neck Tie Bow // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker Sunglasses // TIGHTS: Hue Opaque Tights // COAT: Pink Coat // SHOES: Kate Spade ‘Lydia’ Pumps
After lunch, I spent the afternoon meeting with some of my favorite brands and visiting showrooms and the like. First I stopped by Shoshanna – I’ve been working with them since I first started blogging and am a LONG time fan 🙂
(clearly I didn’t look close enough bc I spelled Shoshanna wrong…but this is one of my snapchats from the show room)
And next up was a visit to the Eliza J. showroom and as always, LOVED all the feminine dresses. The walls were LINED with racks of gorgeously unique dresses in all sorts of colors and patterns. Hopefully, you got to see more via snapchat if you were following along.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Dinner at a little italian spot (PAGANI) right next to where we were staying. And if you know anything about me, then you know I’m a happy camper when I get some carbs and red sauce in front of me! I got the rigatoni (#typical) and loved it!
SATURDAY: Lisel and I spent the morning in our PJs drinking coffee (the BEST) because it was WAY too cold to get out and do anything. However, we managed to bare the cold for the ShopStyle event. I got to meet with a few of my favorite brands and socialize with some people I hadn’t seen in forever. All in all, it was a good time 🙂
SHIRT: Black Turtleneck // BLAZER: Charcoal Blazer // LEGGINGS: BP Liquid Leggings // BAG: Chloe ‘Drew’ Bag // BOOTIES: Dee Keller wedge booties (old) similar HERE // BELT: Gucci Belt
a few more photos from the shop style event 🙂

snagged these earrings from my baublebar friends at the shopstyle event 🙂 and I’m in LOVE!
and then we did a little shopping at Chanel and Celine and I might have gotten a new bag (emoji with hands over face hehe)
SATURDAY NIGHT: since it was SO STINKING cold, Lisel and I just ended up getting a pizza and wine and watching lots and lots of Netflix. It was a pretty perfect Saturday night if you ask me 🙂
SUNDAY: started the morning with brunch at the Langham hotel on 5th Avenue
After brunch, we had a few meetings but it was still REALLY cold so getting from place to place was quite the struggle…
So we ended up getting manicures and doing a little bit of shopping at bloomies for my upcoming trip to Mexico. I tried on this tory burch one piece swimsuit and LOVED it. If you’re looking for a good (quality made) one piece – I loved the fit of this one and the color was gorgeous in person.
SHIRT: Black Ribbed Turtleneck //JEANS: White ‘Sarah’ Jeans // SHOES: Stuart Weitzman ‘Highland’ Boots //COAT: Red Wool Collar Coat // SCARF: Marc Jacobs Striped Scarf
SUNDAY DINNER: well what do you know, we had Italian food again. Since it was Valentine’s day, everything was pretty swamped so we used Open Table to find something that had a reservation and this place ended up being great! I got the risotto and it was delish! (but how could risotto not be, right?!)
MONDAY: First up was the Lela Rose show. Above is a quick snap I took in an uber on the way to the show (which was AMAZE by the way!). I wish I would have taken more pictures while at the show. I felt like I was (because I was on my phone a lot), but I was using snapchat and forgot to take good photos to share with you all. Oops – promise to do better next time 🙂
quick selfie before heading in (from my snapchat)
Outfit Deets: Caslon Denim Shirt // BlankNYC Faux Leather Pants // Leopard Coat // YSL ‘Sac du Jour’
here’s one photo I did manage to get from the Lela rose show but it doesn’t do the collection justice at all….
After Lela Rose, we scooted over to another venue for the Thomas Wilde show. Above is a quick snap we took before the headed into the show, which actually might have been my favorite. How AMAZE is this fur vest?!
Then we did a little more shopping and I made some major purchases that I can’t wait to shoot and style. Here’s a sneak peek at one of my snaps while we were trying on lots of fun things 🙂

MONDAY NIGHT: we had the Reward Style dinner (and Lisel was my plus one for BTD hehe). I’m dumb and forgot to take a picture of how pretty it was, but I love Kat’s photo of the table setting so I’m including it for y’all to see (so so pretty!)
quick snap before hopping on the plan back to Dallas! and that about sums up the trip! It was super fun and actually not too jam-packed (which is just how I like my trips…I like to move very slowly haha)
