Recently, I’ve become a major fan of the quote-on-quote mock turtleneck. Why? well, mostly because of how chic they tend to look. They’re simpler and less fabric…and just look effortless.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of the classic (roll over) turtleneck, but something about a MOCK turtleneck is less complicated, less chunk, and thus more chic and clean looking. I hope that makes sense? All in all, I especially love it when the mock turtleneck has somewhat of a bigger fit to it. I’ve come realize that I like my turtlenecks tighter-ish (for the most part unless it’s an oversized one) and my mock turtlenecks looser because for somer reason, it just looks better that way.
I guess there were several people that shared my sentiments for this mock turtleneck because it’s basically 100% sold out! #Sadness BUT I did do my best to find all the BEST available similar alternatives. I also have this one in green and have instagrammed it a few times before – see this post.
I’m curious, do you differentiate between your ‘real’ turtlenecks and your mock turtlenecks? Do you think they add different ‘vibes’ to an outfit (for lack of a better word…ha). I’m wondering if I’m the only one that thinks they’re somewhat chic-er than regular turtlenecks? Please do weigh in below in the comments. 🙂 And hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
