I know I’ve mentioned these Amazon Souper Cubes on Instagram a million times, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t add a permanent spot for them on the blog too.
In an effort to avoid spending a ridiculous amount of money on DoorDash, I’ve been doing my best to meal prep on Sunday afternoons. I should preface this post by saying that this doesn’t always happen, but on the weeks it does, I feel way more prepared for the week ahead—and I know we’ve got something homemade and (normally) nutritious to eat.
Since I’ve been on my meal prep kick, I have been using the absolute best freezer trays to help me store and freeze certain items. Not only does this keep the food lasting so much longer, but it helps me portion things out and lets me serve single meals if needed.
I found out about Souper Cubes through an influencer on IG. They’re a family-run business, and the owners lost their home recently in the California wildfires. So, if you’ve been thinking about stocking up on some of these, now is a great time to do so!
When I was learning how to use the cubes, I wanted some recipe ideas and found a ton on their website.
Here is a look at what Amazon Souper Cube trays I use and how I use them:
Souper Cubes 2 Cup Silicone Freezer Tray
I recently used the largest size Souper Cubes to store both lasagna and my favorite tortilla soup. PS always serving soup in these bowls lately.
Souper Cubes 1 Cup Silicone Freezer Tray
These are the only trays I haven’t used yet, but my plan is to use them for smaller portions of meals for my kiddos.
Souper Cubes 2 Tbsp. Silicone Freezer Molds
I used these small molds to freeze fresh garlic and ginger. I’m always throwing away both foods because they go bad before I can use them, so it will be so nice to have some on hand always.
Souper Cubes Silicone Cookie Dough Freezer Tray
Cookie dough, duh. I made some sugar cookies and froze half the dough—portion control and it gives us a fun treat that’s ready for later.
Stainless Steel Soup Strainer
This is pretty self-explanatory, but I love this scooper for ladling soup once it’s thawed and warmed in my big pot.
Souper Cubes Kitchen Labeling Tape
This labeling tape allows me to see what is in every tray and when it was made so nothing stays in the fridge or freezer too long.
By the way, these baking containers are another kitchen staple I’ve been obsessed with lately. You can read more about them in this blog post.
