Even though I don’t work in a corporate environment anymore, I’ll always be a little partial to dressing business casual attire. I don’t know why, but it’s just fun to put together power-lady-legally-blonde-esque outfits from time to time. Something about wearing a pencil skirt or a snazzy blazer makes me feel productive 😉 And depending on the circumstances, there is bound to be something/some event you might need to dress a little sharper for – whether it be an interview, a luncheon, networking event or a meeting with other professionals (in any industry).
After hearing some of your requests for corporate-attire inspirations via recent comments/emails, I decided it would be fun to share one of my favorite pieces to mix and match: the sleeveless jacket/vest. I’m not sure I would have worn this exact outfit in my previous corporate office environment (as this is a little too edgy in my opinion), but I think it would have worked over a longer pencil dress or super simple ensemble (I’d have to try it out though!). What do you think?
Would you be able to wear something like this at your office? Or if that’s totally out of the question, would you wear this longer vest in a more relaxed professional setting?
Either way, I think it’s a fun and different take on your typical business casual.
