I get to travel quite often, and sometimes I’m really ready to come home, but other times I would do anything to stay in the location I’m at. I went to the Ritz Carlton, Bachelor Gulch in Colorado, a couple weeks ago and honestly had the hardest time leaving.

If you follow me on Snapchat you probably remember me mentioning this – like a lot, I couldn’t help it. I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch and can’t remember being so obsessed with a place and setting. It was like a giant log cabin nestled up in between thousands of big green trees. The rooms and robes were so cozy, and I basically lived in my robe because I did NOT pack well for the cooler, brisk weather.
Colorado in general has such a clean, beautiful, relaxing vibe – I felt more at peace there than I have in a long time. For a few minutes, I even had the thought, “I could probably beg my dad to move all my stuff from Dallas out here, right?” I was obsessed, y’all. Can you blame me after seeing these views?!
Anyways, Friday I had cocktails at Buffalo’s, a bar/restaurant at the hotel which was casual but at the same time gorgeous. Everything in the hotel felt rustic – I’m talking real wooden slabs as walls – but also modern – like big, steel chandeliers. I loved the mix of decor throughout. I attended a pop-up dinner at The Grill with Chef Lon Symensma and the food + atmosphere was crazy good.

Saturday started with breakfast at the Club Lounge (the little hang out spot on the “club floor”. And if you’ve ever enjoyed the club floor at any of the Ritz hotels, it’s always such a treat. The buffet-style breakfast has all the breakfast options you could possibly imagine and there was a cute little fire place to snuggle up by too – which was #winning for me.
Next, I hopped into a TESLA to do a little test driving of one of their newest models. No big deal, y’all. OK, it was a (very!) big deal to me…and I was freaking out a leeeeetle bit! Those cars are SO cool and we all got our turn in the driver’s seat. The whole Tesla experience was so much fun. I’m adding one to my Christmas list (kidding?).
After test driving, we had a picnic lunch on the back patio of the resort and the weather was AMAZE (but isn’t it always perfection when in Colorado?!).
Following lunch, we went on a short little hike near the hotel before enjoying an afternoon at the spa – PRAISE HANDS! The hike was so nice (#duh). Everything just felt more fresh there. Maybe it was the crisp Colorado air? Whatever it was, I loved it.

We followed the hike up with massages at the spa – HEAVEN.
And we finished up the amazingly-jam-packed day with a “Raclette” dinner at Anderson’s Cabin – one of the historic venues for events on the property and it was so ADORABLE!

OH! And smores under the stars. I mean, I’m not kidding when I say I was about to pack life up and just move here. I could seriously get used to all of this.
I would HIGHLY recommend Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch if you’re needing a vacation, time to relax and recharge, or wanting to enjoy the outdoors. Everything from the rooms to the food and just ease of the hotel was perfection. Let me know if you’re going soon and I’m happy to answer any questions! Also, can I come with you?
