I’m starting this Thursday off super early! and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m meeting one of my dearest friends for coffee and a little prayer time and then headed to yogalates (Yes, that’s Yoga + Pilates combined). Unfortunately for me though, since it has been so long since I last “moved” (aside from walking down the stairs), I have NO doubt that I will be sore for at least 7 days. eeek! That’s going to hurt…
Anyway, on to this little get up I’m wearing in these pictures. Like I mentioned in this post, I love to find fun prints and “pull” different colors out from them. In this case, I pretty much pulled all the colors out: pink, green, and nude. If it’s too much for you, I think this little top would also be so cute with white jeans and pink accessories/shoes. (Or even a hot pink scarf from this post)! But the pink lipstick is a must! Don’t you think? The funny things is, if you knew me a year or so ago, you would have NEVER seen me wearing bright lipstick. Every time I would put it on and try to wear it, I’d look in the mirror and laugh at myself, thinking Brighton, who are you kidding? you look so silly! haha. But then one day, when I had recently received a brand new tube for Christmas, I decided to be bold and just do it (I put on a little extra eye-liner for self assurance by the way). And then after a few times of wearing it, I was able to go brighter and brighter with the colors without feeling silly or like I couldn’t pull it off. Anyone can pull off lipstick. Really though. I just think it’s one of those things where you have to get used to yourself wearing it. What do you think? What is your experience with bright lipstick?
