There’s just something about a stark white midi dress that brings chic to a whole new level. I love white: white jeans, dresses and nail polish ALL year round (winter white is one of my faves!). But aside from beautiful white coats in December, I LOVE a classic white dress and I always end up acquiring a few despite the fact that (well, depending on how fancy it is), there are only a few occasions I can wear it.
Think about it – you can’t wear white to a wedding or any engagement parties or showers for that wedding (unless you want to be the most awkward person there…). And I don’t know about you, but I guess I’m just in a place in my life (mid-twenties) where engagement parties and weddings are filling up my every (single!) weekend.
So that leaves Easter Sunday and (I guess) graduation parties? and then if your friends are having babies (which mine aren’t really yet…), I presume it’s acceptable to wear white to baby showers? Yeah, I bet so. And then of course, there’s always fancy dinners, girls nighs, and Sunday church etc. Okay, so the more I think about it…the more I realize that this whole I-don’t-have-anywhere-to-wear-my-white-dress argument might have been a pretty silly statement. Regardless, it’s how I feel right now in my life (ok, moving on. ha!)
Anyway, given the rant above, you can see why I’m super excited to wear these white dresses next weekend for Easter festivities! (and did you see all the other easter dresses I rounded up in this post from Wednesday?!)
What are your thoughts? (I don’t mean to make a big deal of it or anything….ha!)
