Alys Beach is one of those places that makes you want to actually try. The architecture is all white stucco and honestly iconic, the water is a stunning shade of turquoise, and everyone looks effortlessly put together. So yes, I packed intentionally. Here’s exactly what made it into my suitcase.
My strategy: I built around a terracotta + ivory + pop-of-print palette so everything mixes and matches. Two or three bottoms, a couple tops, and suddenly you have a week of outfits.
Swimwear
For this trip I leaned into a mix of sets and separates so I could get more combinations out of fewer pieces. The MINNOW Jasmine Blossom set was probably my most-worn—the high-waist bottom and tie-strap top work together or with basically anything else.
I also brought this stripe set from MINNOW (bikini top + high-waist bottom, and the matching pareo is so good for walking around. For a cleaner, more minimal look I packed this ivory top from Monday Swimwear with the matching bottoms, and this pearl colored top paired with the high waisted bottoms for a more elevated beach club moment.
The knitted rope halter triangle bikini in pink is the most-photographed thing I own right now—so worth it. And the LEFT ON FRIDAY set in Aperol Neon Orange (top + bottom) is a full statement. I also threw in a one-piece for pool days with the kids because sometimes that’s just the move.
Coverups & Clothing
The Rio tunic and shorts were my go-to beach-to-lunch situation—light, easy, done. I wore this colorful maxi skirt for trips to the ice cream shop and felt cute but covered up. Y’all this sleeveless V-neck knit + mini skirt from Amazon was actually perfect for dinner out. Also, a moment for the most perfect crochet set.
For beach coverup moments, the swimsuit sarong coverup and these shorts were worn on repeat.
Bags
I brought three and used them all. The straw tote from Amazon is the classic beach bag and the price is unreal. The mesh beach bag with towel straps is what I actually brought to the sand—holds everything. This was my off-the-beach bag for errands and outings.
Shoes
Kept it simple. These sandals (perfect dupe for the $900 versions) are my all-day walking shoe. My current favorite flip flops go with literally everything and are the perfect beach sandal.
Jewelry
I layered a lot. This heart pendant was my everyday necklace. The Hunky Heart Necklace is a bolder statement piece that layers beautifully over it. The Gold Seashell Necklace is maybe the most on-theme thing I packed and I have zero regrets. This choker is sweet and casual, and the Mermaid Panels Necklace with the colorful gold charms was such a fun pop—and Blake’s favorite piece. 😉
