We’re already halfway through January and Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it. So, I figured now was as good a time as any to bust out the Valentine’s Day gift ideas.
I never really go all out for Valentine’s Day, but I do think it’s a fun day to surprise some special people in your life. I’m definitely planning to make some fun baskets for the kids, and I’ll be sending my parents both some fun little gifts. I also just enjoy all things heart-shaped, so I’ll also make some heart-shaped foods and may even make some version of my Valentine’s Day dessert board from last year.
When I consider what types of gifts to give on Valentine’s Day, I like to go with gift the person might not think to buy for themselves or little “splurges.” For instance, a nice perfume or bouquet of roses is always a pleasant surprise. Anything in the shape of a heart is a go on this holiday too. 😉
Men can be harder to shop for on Valentine’s Day, which is why I try to stick to something they’ll actually use like some high quality shirts or a nice travel toiletry bag. This old fashioned set from Williams Sonoma would also make a great gift for a guy who loves to enjoy a nice drink.
Let’s be honest, kids are probably the easiest to shop for. I do my best to fill their baskets with some useful items (like these LAKE pajamas) and some items we’ll probably only use a few times (like this Valentine-designing kit). Holiday books are always a good option too!
Hopefully, this gives you a good idea where you can start when shopping for Valentine’s Day gift — even if you just use these guides as inspiration!
