Being that it is human nature to take the path of least resistance, it is common and even sometimes expected that most people will follow the crowd when making decisions or “choosing a path.” And this is totally normal because the fear of the unknown can be quite daunting, right? Taking risks requires confidence in your abilities and conviction in your beliefs – it also requires that you know what you want. Paving your own path can be scary and unpredictable, but if you know yourself well and have a pretty good idea of where you’re going (metaphorically speaking), then you can create value for not only yourself, but by setting an example for others as well.
I never underestimate the fact that sometimes, less is more. Not only with style, but with so many areas of life. Don’t you think?
I like Andy Warhol’s quote because, for most things in life, I really believe that you have to make a conscious effort in order for them to change. Yes, time does help to cultivate a skill/trait/characteristic/habit, but repetition and consistency (I think) are crucial. Thoughts?
So much in life is mental….and that’s all I have to say about that one!
