If you’ve been following the blog, then you’re well aware that Tuesday’s are days for inspiration and fun typography – hence the name Typography Tuesday. I usually round up some of my favorite typographic images and share them with you each Tuesday. But I decided to do something different this week. I did my best to make some typography of my own. I’ll admit that it took MUCH longer than I expected…it looks so simple. But let me tell you, it’s not! My respect for graphic design artists/type people/whatever-you-want-to-call-them just went up tenfold.
As for the quote, “dressing up makes me more productive” ….this is something I say all the time. My mom has always told me that it takes just as much time to throw on a t-shirt and shorts as it does to throw on a dress. And she is so right! It’s not that I like to be dolled up or anything, I just like to wear “normal” clothes; and I like to have fun with it. And honestly, I really am more productive when I wake up and “get dressed” in the morning. Otherwise, I feel more like I’m just getting through the day. Does that make sense? So the next time someone looks at you funny and asks, “why are you dressed up?” – you know what to say! 🙂
Anyway, what do you think of my attempt at typography? I’m dying to know!
{Also, please note that the illustration, art, and images above are not my own. See image credits above for details.}
