TV Shows We Have Recently Streamed And Liked

Who loves watching TV?! Lol. Watching TV together is one of D and I’s favorite things to do together. Give us a free afternoon, a TV, and some good snacks and we will be set for hours!! I don’t know if that’s something to be proud of but, nothing wrong with enjoying a new show or two (or three) every now and then.

I kinda talk about this hobby of ours on IG quite a bit so I thought I’d write up a list of recent shows we’ve watched and loved, as well as share a bit about each one so you can decide if you want to give it a go. This list isn’t EVERY show we’ve watched together (I’d be here all day lol), but just some of the more recent ones!

And of course, with watching TV comes comfy clothes to lounge around in, so before I dive into the shows, I’m going to be sharing a few pieces I recently ordered from Jockey that I’m absolutely loving!

First, Jockey has been making amazing and comfortable basics for 140 years so I like to think they know what they’re doing. I remember wearing it all throughout my childhood – anyone else?! One of my favorite products growing up and now is their classic v-neck tee. I ordered it in the men’s size found here in a small and it’s the perfect oversized fit with these leggings, which are under $45 and come in lots of great colors and prints.

I also ordered some things for Duncan including these shorts, which he now wears whenever we’re lounging around watching our shows. He loves that they have pockets too, so if your guy requires pockets in his shorts, definitely grab a pair or two of these. And for his tees, I ordered both the Jockey Signature T-shirt as well as the Signature Pocket T-Shirt. Both go perfectly with his shorts, but can also be layered under dress shirts, so it’s a win-win!

Such great finds from Jockey that I highly recommend y’all check out and wear for your next binge-watching session!

Alright, time for some show recommendations!

Mare of Easttown (HBO Max)

I love a mini-series like this one that draws you in, tells you an amazing story, and then wraps things up quickly! Some of my favorite TV series have been in this format and almost all of them contain some type of investigation that keeps me on the edge of my seat, which this one definitely did. It’s about a murder and a missing girl (two separate cases) in a small Pennsylvania town called Easttown where a woman named Mare (Kate Winslet) is a detective with her own personal issues to work through as well as solving both cases. 100% worth the watch and Kate Winslet (and all the actors) are so good in it!!

  • 7 episodes
  • Murder/suspense
  • Will keep you guessing – we didn’t figure things out until the last episode!

The Good Doctor (ABC – HULU, AMAZON)

We just started this a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed it. It’s about a surgical resident that has autism and his journey both at his job and in life. I’ve really fallen in love with the cast and it’s an easy one to pop in and out of if you’re just wanting to watch one episode here and there.

  • 4 seasons available on Hulu with 18-20 episodes each
  • Drama/medical
  • Casual watch but tells such a good story so you’ll want to keep going

A Million Little Things (ABC – HULU)

I can’t remember how we stumbled upon this one, but we really enjoyed it and have now caught up to present time. It’s about a group of friends who come together after dealing with loss (I don’t want to give too much away), but it’s the kind of show that just feels like you’re watching someone’s real life unfold, ya know?

  • 3 seasons available on Hulu with 17-19 episodes each
  • Drama
  • Might make you cry because it’s so real and relatable to actual life

This Is Us (NBC – HULU)

I’m sure most of you have already seen this one, but we actually started it back in February when Four was born. We absolutely loved it and were so sad when we caught up to present day and now have to wait for each episode lol. It’s a tear-jerker, but *so* good! Again, just one of those shows that’s really relatable to real life/family, which is probably why I cried almost every episode!

  • 5 seasons available on Hulu with 16-18 episodes each
  • Drama
  • Major tear-jerker based on a relatable family

Parenthood (NBC – HULU)

After catching up with This Is Us, y’all recommended we watch Parenthood and it did not disappoint. I’ll admit, it took me a few episodes to get into it (because I was comparing it to This Is Us), but once I got to know the characters, we fell in love. By the end of it, we were sad it was over! And when I shared it on stories, *so* many of you guys seemed to be die-hard fans and were sad they stopped making it. If you haven’t seen this one, I highly recommend it! I think it’s a good show for just about anyone – sweet, relatable, entertaining, and good story-telling.

  • 6 seasons available on Hulu with 13-22 episodes each
  • Drama
  • If you’re into This is Us, you will love this!

Home Before Dark (Apple TV)

We’ve really enjoyed the shows that Apple has produced and I definitely recommend doing a free trial if you don’t already have it so you can check things out. Home Before Dark is a cute but dramatic mystery series about a young girl named Hilde who acts as an investigative journalist when suspicious things start happening in her town.

  • 2 seasons available on Apple TV with 10 episodes each (season 2 airing now)
  • Drama/mystery
  • Starts off a little slow but eventually picks up and totally sucked us in – obsessed with the main character, Hilde, and think her little personality is adorable!

Thanks so much to Jockey for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.
