When it comes to blogging, there can be a lot of picture perfect moments that (might) look incredibly effortless and leave you wondering why your own life (or self) doesn’t look like that all the time. Right? But really, when you think about it, you have to consider the fact that you’re only seeing is the end result: the posts full of pretty pictures. But as I’m sure you can imagine (but probably don’t often consider), there is A LOT of work that goes on behind the scenes.
Most people have no idea of what it takes to run (even a little!) blog -from photo editing to graphic design to web hosting. The demands are endless and unfortunately, like with any small business, ALL the responsibility typically falls on one person (unless you have a team, which I don’t). But blogkeeping aside, there is definitely some behind the scenes action going on when it comes to taking outfit photos. I mean, let’s be real here, I don’t wear my full bright-lipstick-and-high-heels to the grocery store. We all typically try a little harder or care a little more about how we look when we know picture-taking is in the near future. Right? And whether we’re getting ready for a fun night out with friends or a much-anticipated special occasion/ball/party/etc, we all have our little go-to stash of products that give us that extra umph and touch of glam.
So with award season in full swing and the Oscars (and all its red carpet glam) coming up this Sunday, I’ve teamed up with Crest and am so excited to join in on their #SmileStyle campaign to share my go-to beauty products that give me an extra bit of glam.
