Hellllloooo everyone! I hope you had a lovely (super bowl) weekend! As I’ve told you, I’m still in Houston and am still living in hotels. I don’t mind it much, except for the traveling part…and the packing. But I’m doing my very best to have a good and positive attitude about it. As promised, I managed to snap some (SUPER quick) pictures of work attire. Sorry I don’t have a full body shot, but this is the same skirt I wore here if you want to see the whole thing. I try and keep things pretty conservative, classic, and simple for work. But most importantly, I dress comfortably. Since it’s such a busy time of the year (in my profession), I typically don’t leave the office until 10-ish, so comfort is TOP priority. But I’ll admit, it doesn’t keep me from wearing heels! Plus, I’m usually sitting most of the time anyway, so my feet never really suffer anyway.
One part of traveling that has been a bit of a challenge for me is having to limit myself and ONLY bring what I need. This being said, I try to plan all my week day outfits around one (maybe two) pairs of shoes. And I’ll usually only bring a few accessories because I always forget to incorporate them into my outfits when I’m rushing to pack each Sunday. Oh well…I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it eventually! Do any of you travel a lot? Any suggestions or bits of advice? I try not to check a bag because that definitely speeds things up.
I hope you all have a productive and happy Monday! xoxo -B
