MY LITTLE MORNING NOOK

Last week, I posted this little photo below via instagram and after getting such a positive response from everyone (in addition to a few questions about where I got certain things), I decided to do a post and share the details behind my much-loved little morning nook. Please let me know if I’ve forgotten to mention where I got something, and I’ll be more than happy to share with you!

lamp: I got this a while back from retrosymphony etsy shop // milk glass vase: vintage from a shop in Denim Springs (outside of Baton Rouge) // chair + ottoman: IKEA // blanket: bed bath and beyond – I got a huge white monogram which makes it more personal and nice 🙂 // pillows: I got the fabric from a local fabric store, but I found the same exact pillow for you guys here via an etsy shop // rug: rugsusa – I don’t think this particular one is available anymore but I found a similar one!

The Hermes print was a lucky steal from a random Gilt sale a while back. I made the “THINK HAPPY BE HAPPY” print myself via photoshop and the blue and white Chinoiserie Ginger Jar is from the Pink Pagoda shop on Etsy (I’m obsessed with all their cute prints!)

Pink lacquer storage box: container store // vase: gilt // flowers: hobby lobby (they’re silk I think) // business cards: I used moo.com // Painting: Maurie Hartel (yall, she’s AMAZING and so sweet too! if she doesn’t have what you want, she will make a custom piece for you.) // chandelier: I ordered this from amazon – the company is called Midwest CBK

This nook is my quiet spot where I spend most of my early mornings having my quiet/prayer/devotional time before all the craziness of the day begins. The space is surrounded by windows and is on the east side of our house, so the sun light pours in each morning and completely fills the room with bright, beautiful light! I keep all my reading materials, devotionals, and journals close by and try and make this the first place I go once I wake up each morning (after making a cup of coffee, of course!).

Do you have a little nook in your place where you like to read and reflect? I’d love to hear!
