I know, I know. A pink post is NOT exactly something you would expect to see on a so-called “fashion blog” during the pre-fall/late-summer month of August. But hey, for some reason, I saw this 3.1 Phillip Lim bag and was immediately inspired by it’s unexpected shade. Isn’t it gorgeous? And after feasting my eyes on this beauty, I was subsequently sensitive to all things pink. Strange? A little, but you get a random little pink inspiration as a result of it. I hope you’re alright with that….

So, I know pink isn’t exactly a HOT hue up in NYC and other non-southern areas, but down here in the South (well, at least according to moi), pink is always acceptable; it’s pretty much a year-round color for me. Of course, I would wear it differently in, say, November than I would in june. Meaning, the hue would be more of an accent, as opposed to a statement, in the latter months of the year. The point is, though, that just because Fall is around the corner doesn’t mean I’m limiting my wardrobe to neutrals/blacks/grays. Am I crazy/alone in this feeling? Probably. haha. But that’s ok!

Another color on my radar for this coming season is BURGUNDY. I’m obsessed. It’s sort of in the same color family. right? Anyways, I’m loving it!
