I hope y’all are following along on insta stories of my trip in Fiji because I have a new best friend and she’s AMAZING. Her name is “MAMA Tokasa” and she’s the BEST dose of sunshine I’ve had in a very long time. Just being around her makes me happy and lifts up my spirits! Anyway, back to the topic I wanted to talk about today: peasant tops. I picked this one up at Nordstrom last week before my trip and I’m obsessed with it. I love the oversized fit, the sleeve detail, and the v-neck (tie thing) situation along the neckline.

Peasant blouses have been around since the 60’s, but this year they are the perfect throw-on for any occasion. Whether you are going to lunch with the gals, summer BBQ bash, or heading on vacation, a peasant top is the perfect staple to your wardrobe.

I love having those go-to blouses in my closet that I know I can throw on and will always look flattering. Peasant tops can compliment every body type without being boring. This one has a cute cutout/embroidered sleeve that makes is not just another white shirt. It’s also really lightweight, making it perfect for transitioning from summer to fall.

Here I wore it with a cute pair of shorts and some strappy boho sandals. If I were to dress it later in the year though I could easily pair it with some dark wash denim and throw a suede jacket on top. Whatever the season or event, peasant blouses are always a must.
