Our Bedroom Drapery and Window Treatments

Any time I post photos of my bedroom, I have several people reach out about my bedroom drapery and window treatments. These are the same drapes I had in my living room in our Denver home (see the photo below). Clearly, I’m a fan.

When searching for drapes, we wanted some that would feel sheer-ish but still filter out light. As you can see, our room gets sunlight at certain times of day, so it’s important that we can close the drapes if either of us trying to nap or just wants a dark room.

The woven blinds add some texture to the windows while offering even more light filtering. I love the fabric used for these blinds. They were custom-designed for our windows from Blinds.com in the color Tahoe Natural D16-05. This company was amazing. You just measure your window and they will install everything for you!

Our drapes and drapery rod were also custom; however, I found a similar drapery rod that can be found here and similar drapes can be found here. This company was so amazing. You just measure your window and they will install everything.

I really like to hang our drapes from right under the ceiling to create the allusion of a bigger window — this was a style trick I learned from a designer years ago. So, when having our drapes created, we did a larger size than we technically needed for any of the windows. This all depends on your style and the space you’re decorating.

If you end up ordering any of the items we use for our bedroom drapery and window treatments, let me know! I’d love to hear which room you use them in.
