Lately, I’ve been on a shoe HUNT, looking for a few pairs to freshen up my Spring & Summer collection. With my mom being a shoe designer, I definitely have a few more pairs then I should but I really think shoes can MAKE an outfit so that’s where I spend a good chunk of my disposable income. And on my radar these past few weeks have been nude shoes that will go with everything AND statement makers (which would be another blog post of course!).
I already own these peep toe booties (above) and have worn them a good bit! They’re a bit chunky, but the color is too good to pass up and I love that they’re super transitional (and also don’t look TOO summer-y).
Outfit Details: Articles of Society Sarah Skinny Jeans (fit TTS) // BP. Twist Front Tee (wearing XXS – LOVE) // Free People Days Like This Cardigan (honestly – such a great find!) // Vince Camuto Peep Toe Bootie (order 1/2 size down! but such a great transitional bootie!)
I’m sure you’ve seen me wear the Marc Fisher wedges – if you don’t have a pair of these I would HIGHLY recommend getting some. They go with SO MUCH and are such a great buy for under $200. I love this style here (with the high front) but I have last season’s style (as you can see in the photo above). I would suggest sizing down 1/2 size in any of Marc Fisher’s shoes.
Outfit Details: Gibson Bell Sleeve Top // Paige White Jeans // Marc Fisher Platform Wedge // Calpak Marble Suitcase
Here’s another shot of the Marc Fisher wedges below from an angle.
Outfit Details: Gibson Bell Sleeve Poplin Top (wearing size XS) // Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip Color (in color “Lily”) // Paige Verdugo Ankle Skinny Jeans // Marc Fisher Adalyne Platform Wedge
These Steve Madden Carrson Heels are the BEST but unfortunately they’re sold out all over the place in this color. But they’re such a great staple (just a simple ankle strap heel), so I wanted to round up a few more options for y’all. I think the key here is the chunkier heel because it dresses the shoe down a little bit and makes it more wearable. I found a pretty (suede option) alternative by Sam Edelman ($119 – almost identical) and then a pretty nude leather option by Vince Camuto ($99). I also really love the cork alliterative shown in the round up below too! Oh and laslty on the nude leather (vs suede) front – these by Tony Bianco are beautiful ($130). Personally, I own the Stuart Weitzman cork ‘Nudist’ sandal and wear them all the time when I’m looking to get dressed up (it’s a skinnier heel so it’s dressier).
Outfit Details: BP. Peplum Top ($39) // Baublebar Sandbar Drop Earrings // Hat Attack Straw Bag // Steve Madden Carson Sandal
These flats aren’t included in the round up (oops I ment to) but these have been GREAT for me because they’re flat, feminine, closed-toe and really comfortable actually!
Outfit Details: Sole Society Cactus Print Bomber Jacket // Lush Roll Tab Tunic // MOTHER Skinny Jeans // Sole Society Keyon Bag // Sole Society Katarina Block Heel
And then I LOVE these (and these solid leather one too!) by my mom – she’s made them for a few seasons and I love them every single time. I find myself throwing these on ALL the time! But I love wearing wedges during the day because I feel like I need the height.
Outfit Details: Eliza J Striped Dress // Dee Keller Cutout Wedges // Sonix Preston Sunglasses
Want to know what’s on my shopping list for the next few months? I’ve actually never shared anything like this before but I was just about to press publish on this post and thought to myself….oh that might be sort of fun to share! Okay so here’s what I’m thinking about buying. It takes me a LONG time to decide to pull the trigger – specially on shoes!! I have to mull it over, brainstorm outfits, and make sure I’ll be able to get a lot of them before getting them.
- Nude patent leather pumps – believe it or not, I actually don’t have a pair of nude, closed-toe pumps. I’ve been on the hunt for like a year (casually) but just haven’t found any that I totally love. I’m thinking I’m going to have to go the designer route here since it’s going to be such a staple too. I did that with my black patent leather Prada pumps and it was one of the best investments I made (like I talked about in my “investment pieces” blog post a few months back). I’m thinking either the Prada (just like my black ones) or the Louboutin (or the d’orsay style idk yet).
- Nude slides – I’m still looking but I can’t stop SWOONING over these. I just think I would wear them like ALL THE TIME. But yeah, they’re really expensive so I’m still thinking about it and making sure. Who knows, maybe I’ll get over them. But something about them just SPEAKS to me.
What about you?
What are you looking for or shopping for this season?? And do you have a pair that we should All know about?
