Ever since having Blake, I’ve been trying to figure out what works with my new postpartum body. I felt like my body changed somewhat after having Four, but I’ve noticed a bigger difference with Blake for sure.
I’m finally starting to feel more like myself again after nearly six months, but I also find myself gravitating toward different styles and fits of clothing… especially denim. After purging nearly half my closet a few weeks ago, I decided that I wanted to restock my denim section with some jeans that made me feel more confident in my new body.
So, I went to the one place where I knew I could find a variety of pants in all different shapes and sizes. Abercrombie has become my go-to stop for denim because they offer several inseam options, which is great for those who are shorter like me (I’m 5’3″). I find that the “short” inseam is usually my best bet. I’ve tried the “extra short” inseam before, but it was a little too much. Probably better for someone 5’0″ or under.
Going into my online shopping excursion, I knew I wanted a few different styles of denim. I’m a big fan of straight-leg jeans now that skinny jeans are out (sigh), but I still threw one pair of skinny jeans in my cart because you can’t take the millennial out of me apparently.
I’ve also enjoyed trying out the wider-leg pants. They’re definitely outside of my comfort zone, but I’ve found they can be fun to play around with, especially with the right top. You need a balance of a fitted top vs. loose jeans for it to look right.
I’m linking all of the jeans I bought below. Scroll down to shop and see how each pair looks on. I also included sizing info on everything. Hope this is helpful!
