Monochromatic Looks to Bring Into 2024

My love for a good monochromatic looks goes way back. There’s something so timeless about a uniform fit. I even wrote a post on how to style a monochromatic outfit.

This holiday season, I’ve loved playing around with different monochromatic looks like this red-on-red look I wore to an event this week (it’s giving chic Santa, no?). I decided to roundup some of my favorite monochromatic looks that I fully intend to bring into 2024.

Here are my best tips for putting together a monochromatic look in 2024.

Mix textures

Don’t be afraid to add in a variety of looks and feels. In the navy look below, I mixed knit, suede, and faux leather for some solid contrast.

Layer in accessories

No one ever claimed monochromatic looks are too over the top lol so feel free to accessorize them up! Earrings, bags, belts are all good accesorizing options.

Add in a second color

This took me a while to figure out, but sometimes, what’s missing from a monochromatic look is a pop of color. See how I added brow shoes and a brown bag to the cream look.

Pull in some print

I also like to consider adding some interest with a fun same-color print like I did with the blazer in the all-brown look. Patterned bags and scarves are also great ways to do this.
