One of my favorite things to do as we head into fall each year is find my shoe staples for the season. Typically, I’ll snag a couple pairs of flats, some boots, and sneakers. This year, I fell in love with these leopard ballet flats from Sam Edelman.
For me, this season is all about embracing classic style with a twist. There’s just something about leopard print that feels timeless yet fresh, and these ballet flats strike that perfect balance between chic and functional. A few things I love about them —
THE TEXTURE
These leopard ballet flats are made from genuine dyed haircalf (cow) so they feel as luxurious as they look. The texture adds some serious dimension to the bold print. I like to think of them as a statement piece that I can wear with more neutral looks. I’ve had fun pairing them with everything from jeans to dresses.
THEY’RE COMFORTABLE
One of the main things I look for in any shoe I buy is comfort. These flats have a cushioned leather footbed so you can wear them all day without any discomfort. Plus, the buckle strap keeps the shoe snug on your feet so there’s no sliding around.
THE DESIGN DETAILS
The square toe gives these flats a modern, structured feel — different from the usual round-toe ballet styles. It’s a small design detail that makes a big difference IMO. And the gold-tone hardware adds a luxe feel that dresses up any look.
THEY’RE VERSATILE
What I love most about these leopard ballet flats is their versatility. As a fall transition shoe, they work with so many different looks. Pair them with cropped jeans and a cozy cardigan for a casual daytime look, or throw them on with a midi dress for something a little more elevated. I plan to mix and match them with a variety of colors and textures throughout the season.
