Y’all know my hair has been a JOURNEY for me since having Four. Of all the things I expected postpartum, hair growth was not one of them. I’m definitely not complaining because I’d rather have hair growth than hair loss as many women experience, but it does force me to get creative when styling my hair — especially if I’m going to be wearing it pulled back.
I tried all kinds of products on my hair to get these hairs smoothed down. Some worked better than others, but the one I keep coming back to is the Finish Strong Hair Oil from Agenda. Y’all know I love my Agenda products, but this oil is truly perfect for smoothing down those crazy flyaways.
The thing I love most about this product versus the others that I tried is that it can be applied to all of my hair instead of just the areas I’m trying to smooth like a lot of the gels or serums I used. This hair oil is made using a blend of sweet almond oil, Jojoba seed oil, and rice bran oil, which are all super moisturizing and leave my hair feeling SO soft and smooth.
If I’m planning to wear my hair back in a bun or ponytail, I will apply a little bit of this oil to a clean mascara wand (you can find these on Amazon for super cheap) and then smooth it over my hair like I would when I apply mascara to my lashes.
I’ll then put a small amount on the palm of my hand and run my fingers through my ponytail to add some moisture and smooth out any stray hairs.
When I’m wearing my hair down, I’ll just apply the product to the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, and then smooth it over my hair. I’ll always focus a bit more on the area around my hairline where those baby hairs have sprouted up the most.
I’ve had several people ask me if this oil makes my hair feel greasy and honestly, the answer is no! It’s super lightweight compared to other hair oils and it never weighs my hair down or makes it feel healthy and full of life and body.
You can buy the hair oil on its own or as part of the Big Basic Kit so you also get the Head Start protection serum and Big Plans Ahead root boosting foam.
