Some of you have been asking which products I use to do my hair, so I decided to put together a little post featuring my favorite, tried and true hair stuff.
Even though I have curly hair, I kid you not that NO method of curling (not even those super hot, old school curling irons) worked on my hair. Well, it would work but wouldn’t last long enough for anyone to see it but me. But all that changed when I discovered the bombshell by Sultra. I’m telling you, it’s awesome.
I’ve always used aveda’s air control. In fact, some of my friends tell me that the smell actually reminds them of me since I always wear it. It’s different than most hair sprays in that it doesn’t really “hold” your hair. I’m not sure what it does, but it’s magical. If you’re confused, just try it. And you’ll see. It’s also a life saver for humid weather!
Aveda Abundance potion – this stuff is the real deal. But I’m warning you, if you like your hair to feel silky smooth and clean, then it’s probably not for you. I use it for texture. When you rub some on your hand, it actually feels a little like sandpaper. yeah, I know…it’s weird, but it works wonders for me!
You don’t have to use a fancy blowdryer, but I actually noticed a difference when I borrowed my friends’ in college, especially for using a round brush. I used to use the chi low EMF, but since it has since then broken down on me (and failed to blow hot hair), I’ve moved onto a T3 Veloce Dryer and am happy with it so far! And if you don’t already have one, I’d suggest getting a round brush! I was intimidated at first, but it makes the world of a difference! Oh, and if you can, STOP straightening your hair. At least for me, straightening my hair just make it look super flat.
