1. SO much eye candy over at The Everygirl recently…. Love getting to see a little behind the scenes action into Caitlin Wilson’s home.
2. Discovered a new jewelry designer, stalked her website, loved it, and I’m adding her to my list of cool and different designers. The ring on the top left is $88, the earrings are on sale for around the same amount, the other right is around $140 and the bangles are pricey but awesome! I thought you all would like to hear about this little gem of a designer I found. Rigggghttt??? She’s good.
3. Preach it girrrl! I couldn’t agree more. I’m sure she means something a little more serious than hair, but speaking of hair, I NEVER like my hair to look too “Styled”. In high school, when some of my friends would get their hair done before danced, I would insist on either doing it myself or asks for a simple blow out (rather than styling) because I hated my hair to look “done”. But all in all, I agree with you Emma – you rock. (image scanned from Marie Claire Australia)
4. and good news for those of us who weren’t blessed with permanent I-just-got-back-from-cabo skin….PALE skin is totally making a come back and as far as I’m concerned, it’s back in and here to stay. I don’t care who confirms it or if it’s even true. I’m running with it. Sorry but I’m not interested in worrying/thinking about being tan and all that jazz- I don’t have time for it! Who’s with me on this? Pale skin is the new sexy. yep. And as for the ghostly legs and arms…well ladies, I guess that means we will just have to keep ’em looking good by staying in shape. (eek, I’m not sure how I’m going to tackle THIS task….maybe after busy season!) I mean, I could maybe change my mind for a second if I were to venture off to the beach….just saying. But in general, I’m going to rock these lovely God-given ghostly tones and use bronzer to the max (ok not like Snooki, but you get me. right? k, great). And how awesome does Holland Roden look here rocking her beautiful skin and beautiful locks?? (speaking of Holland, I NEED to know the name of this lipstick – it’s awesome). PS: she’s a teen tv star on some show with wolves or something – if you were wondering. found image here
5. Swooning over the new A + O arrivals at shopbop. Big sigh… SO pretty to look at. It’s a good thing I don’t have a credit card yet…just saying. (totally kidding…kind of).
In other news:
Shigetaka Kurita is the man behind the creation of today’s ubiquitous emoticons prevalent in main stream SMS (text) communications – read his story and the history of it all.
Did you hear the crazy news about how that doctor (from jackson, MS) cured a baby of HIV?
Everyone loves a good deal, but sometimes we (well, some of us) might day dream about shopping at the not-so-budget-friendly designer boutiques. Anyone with me? I was excited and thrilled to hear about the recent emergence and presence of online consignment shops. YES please! (wwd)
