Bombers aren’t anything totally new this season, but they’re finding their way into my closet MUCH more often than previous years. From suede to letter-man’s style to satin, bombers are cropping up in pretty much every size and shape this fall. And I like it y’all!

There’s something effortless about them, and I like that they’re usually somewhat fitted or cropped. Basically, they’re an option for when you don’t feel like throwing on a denim or a leather jacket – they’re a bit sassier – but not as overpowering as a trench coat or peacoat. And my favorite part is they look great over just about anything – especially over a otherwise basic outfit, as they elevate everything in one step. Which is probably why I keep a few in my car at all times (I legit live out of my car in between work, photoshoots and real life #truth).

OK wait and my second favorite part is that you don’t have to spend a million bucks to get a cute one. My satin one (in these photos) is $79 dollars (YEP!), yet it looks much more expensive, right?! The material is stunning, and I love that it’s a bit different from most jackets in my closet. And with this weird transitional weather we’ve been having in Dallas, this bomber is perfect to throw over whatever I’m wearing. I plan on layering bombers over tanks in fall, sweaters in winter, and then on top of dresses come spring. Basically, what I’m saying is, they’re not going anywhere!

Outfit Details: Hinge Shrunken Jacket ($79 – wearing size XS) // Club Monaco White Tank (wearing size 00)// Agolde Light Wash Jeans (no stretch and super high-waisted, wearing size 25) // Dee Keller Blue Velvet Heels (OBSESSED – fit TTS, wearing size 37)
