Fall Trends I’m Excited About

Fall Trends I'm Excited About Plaid Blazer Leather Shorts Booties

It’s *almost* officially fall, and with a new season comes new trends to embrace and I am HERE for everything I’m seeing so far this fall season. Obviously I’m going to be dressing a bit different this fall and winter (hello baby bump!) but I’m definitely still going to be incorporating a few trendy pieces into my maternity style (WOW, that feels crazy to say)!

I have a whole list compiled below of all the trends I’m loving so far but with my outfit I kind of combined two of them – 90s plaid and suiting! This blazer is amazing and the perfect oversized fit (size up for this fit!). It really makes the shorts (which are one of the other trends – faux leather!) feel a bit more professional and helps transition them from summer to fall. The booties also help give it that more dressed up, professional vibe and can be worn with literally anything in your closet from dresses to shorts to slacks/denim this fall.

As for the trends, it was kinda hard to narrow it down but I think y’all will the five I rounded up!

Loungewear

OK, maybe loungewear is an entire 2020 trend, not just a fall trend LOL. But I wanted to include it because I don’t think elevated loungewear is going anywhere anytime soon and will probably honestly just continue to get better as the season goes on. I also included it because I’ve been spending a lot of time in loungewear lately so it only felt right to include!

Faux Leather

This is one of those trends that I see other people pulling off and I’m not sure I’m cool enough for it LOL. The only key to rocking it is confidence though so if you’re into, wear it! I could see myself wearing this skirt – what do you think? Are you into faux leather this season? My shorts here are faux leather and I think they’re just the right combo of cute and edgy.

Puffed/Padded Shoulders

VERY into this vibe and feel like it’s not something that’s so trendy you won’t be able to wear it again in the coming years. I also feel like there are more subtle versions of this trend like this sweater, and then more vibey pieces like this. Tried to find a variety of items for this one so there was a little something for everyone!

90s Plaid

Like I said above this is probably one of my favorite fall trends on this list! Yes, it’s is a trend, but I think when done right (like with this blazer) it’s actually something that’s always in style. You can for sure go a bit more 90s with it and do something like this mini skirt, which is super cute too! Or I’m also really into something like these slacks.

Suiting

Really, really loving all the fun suiting options I’m seeing. Kind of like the faux leather trend, this is something I see a lot of really cool people doing SO well on IG and it makes me wonder if I can pull it off LOL. Like this look for example – it gave me MAJOR Pretty Woman vibes. I have to say, everyone should have a good blazer!
