Eight Great Drugstore Buys:
1. Simple brand skincare cleansing wipes
Keep a pack of these babies right on your nightstand and you’ll never have an excuse to go to bed without removing your makeup again. Ive tried and tested almost every brand on the market and these clean the best without leaving any annoying greasy residue or breaking out my skin.
2. Rocket volume mascara
Cute blue and pink packaging are an unassuming cover for an insanely wonderful mascara. I tend to mix three to four mascaras to get the right amount of length, volume and still have no clumps. This one does the trick all by itself.
3. ELF brand brushes
Super cheap (a buck to three bucks…). Can’t beat the prices and they’re decent quality for the price. I love them to throw in my makeup bag when I don’t want to carry my super pricey MAC or Sephora brand brushes.
4. Color tattoo eyeshadows
These literally stay on like a tattoo. They come in an amazing range of colors. They start like a cream but as they dry (which is very quickly, by the way) they will not budge. Also great base to use to make glitter stick when you’re in that kinda mood.
5. Maybelline Super Stay 24 Corrector
No joke on the “24” business, this concealer literally stays on that long. Word of warning though- don’t apply it all over then try to blend it in. It dries super quickly, so do one dab at a time and blend it.
6. Sally Hensen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips
Unbelievably simple to apply, come in such a wide array of designs its super hard to choose just one! My tip: apply a clear top coat and they really will last 10-14 days. I will testify to it.
7. L’oreal Visible Lift Cream Compact Foundation
Out of all the expensive and fancy foundations I own (think upwards of 30…), this one is what I constantly reach for in the morning. I love it’s light coverage that’s buildable on spots that need extra coverage. Also, it has broad spectrum SPF 16 sunscreen which is a must to ward off aging and skin damage.
8. Rimmel Stay Glossy 3D Lipgloss
The colors are beautiful. My fave is called “popcorn for 2”. These are wonderful alone as a neutral lip to go with a heavy smokey eye, or on top of any lipstick to make lips look pouty and plump.
