Easy Shift & Natural Hair

Tibi Python Printed Shift Dress  |  Dee Keller Purse & Shoes (Contact Me)  |  MAC Lipstick

I think I’ve mentioned in earlier posts that I have curly hair…If not, then I’m telling you now. I usually wear it straight because it’s easier to deal with and is more predictable, but this weekend I was feeling rather lazy. When I wear my hair natural, it tends to be extremely unpredictable – sometimes it’s super curly and other times it’s just messy and annoying.  Fortunately, it decided to be nice this weekend and worked out in my favor. I should tell you, though, that I do have to use a few products and a brush to style it and sometimes I blow dry my bangs straighter so they aren’t as wavy.

How I did my Hair (for those interested…): This weekend, I let it dry in a low, twisted bun (after combing and applying a little Bumble & Bumble Texture Hair), which helped with the curls.  When it started to get a little frizzy, I sprayed some John Frieda Frizz Ease Spiral Style Curl-Defining Spray to tame the frizz and then blow dry the rest, while scrunching the curls.  If any of the curls didn’t match the rest, I “prettied” them up with my Bombshell by Sultra (a MUST have!).

I wore this dress to church and sunday brunch. Tibi shifts are some of my absolute favorites! So feminine and classy, yet super easy to just throw on when you don’t feel like putting an outfit together. This DK tote is one of my favorites of the purses my mom has made so far. I love the size, shape, and simplicity of it. If you’d like one, we have a few available in some really fun colors (this black one is for sale!) – again, shoot me an email!

Today is my frist day of work for my new (part-time) job! I’m pretty pumped because I’ll be getting to do my two favorite things: crunching numbers (accounting! yay! haha) and graphic design! ….Super excited for SMASH tonight – Do you watch it?? ….NOT too excited for my commercial law midterm tomorrow (ugh, no fun)
