So what do we think about capris? (yep, I just went there). I usually can’t really pull them off since I’m so short, but I didn’t feel like putting on tight pants. So, in this case, I just put on some pumps in an attempt to lengthen my legs. A vintage sweatshirt would look just as good, if not better with this relaxed-fit-&-pointed-pumps-combo – I love a good, unexpected casual-and-dressy mix.
Clearly, I wouldn’t wear this ensemble to the office, or at least not to my office. But since most of the outfits I’m putting together these days ARE for the office, I’m thinking I might find a way to share those with you all too. What do you think? Of course I’ll still share my weekend and casual-ish looks too. The clothes I’m wearing these days just aren’t as much fun (which is a relative term in this case!) as what I used to wear before the job began. Or at the least, my wardrobe is a little more limited because I must appear professional and relatively conservative (I wouldn’t dare wear my neons to the office…and do you blame me? haha). I
It’s important to me that I remain honest and transparent with you all – I don’t want to be fake or portray a life that doesn’t align with my realit. And given such, I guess it’s fair to say that as my life changes, and my style evolves to fit my current profession/lifestyle, so too does the content and outfits here on BrightonTheDay. Hope that’s okay with YOU (big smile). Hooray for pencil skirts and collars on BTD…once I figure out how to shoot them – stay tuned my friends.
