What I’ve learned traveling with kids to the beach
We just got back from a family trip to the beach! We visited Rosemary Beach with my family (literally been going here for decades) and it was the perfect way to spend the week. I got to spend time with my sister and her kiddos who we don’t get to see often enough. Plus, I got to experience the beach with Four and Blake. There is nothing better than getting to see the world through the eyes of your kids. I’m telling you, it’s heaven on earth.
Beach Must-Haves for Kids (That You Can Order from Amazon)
I’m rounding up the things I would consider “must-haves” if you’re going to the beach with kids. Yes, you can survive without most of these things. But they are really helpful and make the beach days pretty seamless all things considered. Also, you can order all of them on Amazon. So, if you’ve got a trip coming up soon, they’ll arrive within a few days!
I first traveled with both kids last summer to Sea Island, Georgia. That trip gave me so much insight into what I would need (and not need) when it came to the beach. Depending on where you stay, a lot of places will allow you to rent certain items. We did this in Sea Island with the Slumberpod and Veer cruiser.
When it comes to traveling to the beach with kids, there is such a thing as bringing *too much* for sure. But I ordered this giant mesh beach bag on Amazon last year. I’m so glad I did. It holds a lot and is so easy to rinse the sand off once we are done for the day.
