Hey guys! It seems like just yesterday I was writing the last BTD Weekly on my plane flight back to Dallas after spending the week in San Francisco. Time flies fast in general, but something about traveling makes the days (and rather, weeks) fly by even quicker! Over the past 2 weeks, we’ve covered a lot of topics on BTD. If you missed it, here’s a quick recap of everything that’s been going on followed by my instagram outfits and details too!
Loved this all black outfit talking about the bodysuit trend and you can’t really see it here, but this embroidered jacket was a MAJOR hit as well! All in all, I just loved this look!
And then I was randomly inspired to write on the topic of being a #GirlBoss and namely, 4 Qualities That Make Up a Girl Boss or that they all have in common. This was another fun one to write and one that I hope y’all found interesting. Regardless, I’m OBSESSED with these pants and how this look turned out – it’s definitely a FAVORITE.
Clearly I had career things on my mind this past month. I put together another office-inspired look for y’all and shared some of my tips on How to Be the MVP employee. I really enjoyed writing this article and hope y’all found it insightful and interesting!
4 Signs it’s Time To Slow Down – This might be my favorite blog post of the month because it was so exciting to see how big of a response it got from y’all! I got more comments than I usually get, which showed me that you guys really felt like you could relate the topic. And honestly, I can totally see why. WHY is it so darn hard to slow down? It sometimes seems (literally) next to impossible. I’m thinking I might need to even revisit this topic from another angle since I think I could still talk about it more (it’s so relevant!). Maybe I’ll try and incorporate it into September’s calendar! Thoughts?
The high-slit maxi skirt – a fun and fresh look I put together while I was in NYC to cover my newfound love for the maxi skirts in general, but especially those with high slits!
Oh and then I finally got around to organizing my pantry and shared the finished product with y’all just last week if you missed it! I worked with Margaret of Neat Method again (she’s AMAZING!). It was a really fun post to put together and I’m so happy our pantry doesn’t make me cringe anymore (ha!).
I’ve really gotten a lot of use out of this tank lately. It’s been a great basic for me and I love that it’s a little different in that the material has a tiny sheen to it as well as a pattern. I also like that the straps are skinnier and more feminine than some of my other tanks. I wore it another day traveling paired with that chunky cardigan I’ve been living in lately and loved the two neutrals together!

I wish I would have gotten more photos in this dress because it really is SO CUTE on! I wore this to go see the Chainsmokers concert while in Vegas. It was probably one of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced (I sort of felt like a fly on the wall or something lol). Nevertheless, it was pretty amazing to experience and the people watching alone was incredibly entertaining!
Outfit Details: Free People Embroidered Tunic // Bobbi Brown Bronzing Gel // Saint Laurent Lip Stain ( Dangerous Pink)
Drinks at the rooftop bar at the Palms hotel in Vegas – so cool to see the strip from afar!
Outfit Details: Soprano Maxi Skirt ($29 – wearing size XS!) // Club Monaco White Tank (pretty pricey, but worth it in my opinion. Such a great closet staple) // Dolce Vita Block Heel Sandal // Styled Collection Tassel Earrings
Products from Instagram Stories
I definitely go through phases when it comes to sharing my life (and/or random happenings and findings) on instagram stories. Sometimes I’m super into it and then others, I may go days where I hardly share anything. It’s funny to think about actually because it doesn’t really make sense. But for whatever reason, I’ve been pretty active on instagram stories in between trips (in Dallas) these past few weeks (aside from my Vegas trip).
Anyway, I spent a good bit of that time chatting y’all up about some of my favorite things of the moment. I even did a few beauty tutorials of you were lucky (ha JK) enough to catch those. Whatever the case, I’ve gotten plenty of questions from y’all asking about “that product” and so I thought it might be helpful to do a quick roundup mentioning ALL the (random) products I’ve mentioned over the past few weeks.
Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Glow Cream – this is the stuff that my room mate Katie and I were playing around with in my bathroom when we were cleaning out my drawers. I’m working on a major bathroom overhaul (to add to my organization series) and so we were going through and throwing stuff out and taking inventory. ANYWAY, while doing so, we were playing around with products and trying them out. This stuff was one of the ones we tried and fell in love with – we even showed y’all the application and how well it worked too!
Bobbi Brown Bronzing Gel – I did a little instagram live video (that I think many of y’all were able to catch) about the difference between this stuff and the CT Glow cream. But basically, I’ve been using this bronzing gel for over 10 years and am obsessed with it. I’d say it’s A LOT darker and more intense than the CT stuff, but I love it. In fact, if I’m being honest, I don’t think I could live without it. Dramatic, but true. I wear it just about everyday – unless I already have some type of tanner or something. I talked about it in my tanning round up post too fyi!
Big Sexy Hair Texturizing Powder – I talked about this stuff all the time and use it almost everyday. I don’t think it’s 100% the secret to getting volume, but I think it sure does help. In order to get bounce and height at your roots, you’ve got to have some sort of texture (in my opinion). Without texture, my hair is super silky smooth and falls flat at my roots. I round brush my hair (keeping it close to the roots – you can see in my video I did too and blog post as well) and then add this stuff for additional texture. I guess I need to do another tutorial someday. Videos are just so annoyingly hard for me.
Gold Ball Drop Earrings – got a few questions about this so I thought I’d include a link as well!
Lies Women Believe – this is the devotional I’m reading right now and am absolutely enjoying! It’s been such a relevant and encouraging book for me over the past month or so and I highly recommend it!
Oversized Pink Sweatshirt – I think I wear this almost every single day while working at home! I also bring it with me when I travel too because I love it so so much!
Elizabeth Arden Skin Protectant & hydrating facial mist – I’m actually working on a blog post telling y’all why I’m so obsessed with this product, but I’ve mentioned it a few times on stories over the past few weeks! It’s amazing!
YSL Lip Stain No. 107 – A few of you have asked what lip color I’ve been wearing and it’s been this lip stain that I’ve been a fan of for almost 5 years now. It’s a GREAT neutral and last a really long time. It’s just the right amount of color I think!
iT Cosmetics Bye Bye Breakout Concealer – this stuff is crazy! Or at least the concept is! I’m still testing it out to be honest, but it has been getting great reviews from around the internets. It’s apparently a skin treatment and makeup all-in-one that sounds way too good to be true! Have you tried it? They’re already sold out in the color that I wear on Ulta.com!
