A few years ago, I was inspired by a good friend of mine (Hutton) who kept a “lookbook” of the things in life that made her smile. She would document special events and pull together magazine clippings of people and places she loved into one big book.

I’ve always kept a journal and have dabbled with scrappbooking and such, but this was something different; it was like a combination of the two! I used to keep a sketch journal in high school, and I definitely missed being able to express my creative side. So after seeing Hutton’s beautiful masterpiece, I decided I had to start my own! I don’t really have much time to work on it these days, but I still find myself writing things down or pulling pictures out of magazines to someday add to my lookbook.

I thought it would be fun to share a few pages with you all today for Typography Tuesday. My lookbook is mostly quotes and pictures that make me happy or that I can relate with. I have several clippings of weddings and interiors that inspire me as well! But mostly, it’s just a culmination of things that catch my eye….kind of like a REAL life pinterest board or something like that.

PS: So I went to the doctor…got a few shots (ouch!!)….got some HUGE pills I have to take. Turns out I actually was pretty sick. Yuck! So I’ll be resting and such for the next few days! xoxo
