I can’t believe it’s already time to transition Four from his nursery to his toddler bedroom. It feels like yesterday that I was posting his nursery photo tour.
When thinking through the design phase of his big boy room, it was important to me that it feel classic but still fun. I worked with Javier from Burkle Creative on this project (you might remember he helped me with Blake’s nursery and my closet/office), and he delivered yet again.
We tried to utilize as many of the existing pieces in Four’s nursery for this space as well without it feeling the same. We kept the same leather poufs, rug, artwork, mirror, and dresser — yet they give a totally different vibe with just a few simple updated accent pieces.
This wallpaper is probably my favorite addition to the updated room. The texture is everything.
Of course, we also transitioned him to a toddler bed versus the crib. The oak color really adds a depth to the room that the white crib didn’t.
The finishing touch on this room was the bedding from Peacock Alley. I love the combination of colors Javier chose; they complement each other so well. Peacock Alley is known for their quality, which is key for a boy’s room.
