Today lets talk all black outfits! This is a color scheme I’ve been wearing since the very beginning (even before my blogging days). All black is chic, flattering and easy to wear. You can use this color combo at work, on date nights, at a workout or even when wearing pajamas. There are a few reasons it’s been a go-to for me for so many years. First, it is easy to style. You can either go for all black everything – pants, top, shoes, and purse. OR, you could style an all black look with a pop of color or pattern from a scarf, shoes, purse, hat or jacket. Either outfit choice is fun and EASY to style.
Secondly, I love all black because it’s flattering. Have you ever had a day where you feel like nothing looks good? I have had many days where I have more clothes on the floor that I’ve tried on than hanging on a hanger. And I just can’t find anything that I feel good in. Thats when I go for an all black look. Black is naturally slimming. It also just looks clean and effortless. Next time you have one of those days, I suggest going for a black top and bottoms or a black dress. It’s always my solution.
Lastly, an all black outfit tends to look chic and on trend. There has never been a time in fashion history (at least since I’ve been alive) that black was not on trend. I tend to pick a black outfit for a formal affair or at a time where I want to look really put together.
Below are some of my past all black looks. I will be using this post as a reference when I go to style some outfits this winter. I hope it inspires your wardrobe this winter as well!
Leather Leggings and Sweater
This is a look I’ve been wearing for many years. Its easy to put together and comfortable for all day wear. I love the contrast of the leather leggings with a knit sweater. While both items are black, the different fabrics makes the outfit interesting to look at. This is an outfit that you could easily add a pop of color through an accessory or shoe.

Workout and Active Outfits
Active outfits are hard to put together sometimes. They have to fit well, be supportive AND stretchy. I prefer to wear something that doesn’t show sweat stains. It’s a lot sometimes. I just want to have a good workout or quick walk around the block without having to worry about the clothing I’m wearing. An all black look is the perfect solution to all of these problems. It can be cute, functional and it can hide the sweat stains.

Black Jeans and Black Top
This is an easy outfit to create. There are also so many ways to style it! You can wear this type of outfit out on a date night or while running errands on a Monday. Below are a few of my favorite ways I’ve styled a black jean and black top.

Fall and Winter Dresses
Black is an easy color to wear all year long. But, my favorite times of the year to wear it are during the fall and winter months. I usually pair the dress with booties or sneakers. And sometimes I add a scarf or felt hat to complete the look. When it gets colder, I tend to go for a black sweater dress for some additional warmth.
