Last year around this time, I did an impromptu planner review on my IG stories. covering the differences and specifics of a few different planners. I was blown away by how much y’all loved it and so I wanted to bring it back this year but bring in a few more planner.
Last year I only review 3 of them, but this year I’ll be talking about 7 different planners. And please feel free to weigh in via the comments below if you have any insights, feedback, opinions on any and all things planner related. With so many amazing planners on the market, it’s hard to choose just one! But hopefully this review will help you sort through the options and pick one that works well for YOU!
Erin Condren Life Planner
Several of my friends use this one and I’ve used it before as well! It’s a great option and the best part about Erin Condren planners is how customizable they are. You can make the planner to be whatever you need with customization options for the cover, weekly view, colors, and more. And they sell lots of other add-ons that go along with the planner.
The key elements that stick out to me for the Erin Condren planner are the size (easy to carry around), and the flexibility of the coils and laminated cover. Maybe I’m weird, but something about being able to bend everything makes me happy. Is that weird? But personally, I don’t use it anymore because I just need more room!
Anchored Press Daily Planner
I love the attention to detail that this planner has! It’s a planner that also has devotional elements to it – and more than just a bible verse here and there. The planners are truly a work of art and each week has a different bible verse and devotion to think about. You have an entire page for each day (LOVE) that also has space to be intentional about your specific prayers for that day.
Anchored Press Weekly
The weekly version is just as thoughtful! There’s a section at the beginning of the week that has a little devotional to focus on that week and then different key concepts/takeaways (related to the devotion) to think and pray on for each day of the week.
I didn’t get any photos of the weekly planner!
Emily Ley Simplified Planner
Simplified life = simplified planner, right!? I like this planner because it is what it says it is, simple and no frills. The planner comes in one of two formats, daily or weekly. On one daily format page there is a schedule from 6am to 9pm next to a 15 item to do list section and a general notes section below, when a new month starts there is a full calendar spread on two pages. On the weekly format, 7 days are spread out over 2 pages and there is a lined note section for each day as well as some weekend reminders to help you simplify your upcoming week! LOVE!
Emily also made an “dapperdesk” planner that is ultra simplified aesthetically with days & months laid out and a holiday list at the front – it comes in navy vegan leather too for guys! They also offer items like washi tape, stretchy bands and stickers in their store to customize the look of your planner if you are into that.
I like this planner for someone who uses the planner for just that, planning and nothing else but simplifying his or her life.
Sweet Caroline Designs Planner
I love these planners because the designs and pretty-ness factor is going to trump any and all other planners on the market! So if you’re just wanting something simple yet super athletically pleasing, then this is the planner for you! Caroline is a graphic artist and hand draws each month herself – they’re SO adorable and creative! She also makes other fun products with her designs such as tissue paper, wrapping paper, stationary & other paper products.
Hope Planner
Okay, this is a new one for me but I love two things about it. First, I love that it’s blank so that you can pick it up at any time and start whenever. All the other planners have specific dates so you have to start at the beginning of the year. Secondly, I love that it’s only for 6 months! How brilliant is that? I rarely know what’s going on 6 months from now anyway, so why carry all that around? I wish all planners were like that! It’s brilliant! We’re really only planning in 6 month increments anyway, right?
High Performance Planner
This planner is different than any one I’ve ever seen. I think it’s for a very specific person, someone that needs and appreciates a lot of accountability and daily review. There are questions to ask yourself at the end of each day and week to make sure you’re staying on task and focusing on the right things.
[Above] – this is what every single day looks like. And then [below] is what the end of the week looks like.
Passion Planner
This is actually the planner I’ve been using for most of the year and I really LOVE it. If you’ve been reading along, then you know I like bendable things. This has a leather cover and is bound, so it’s very. Flexible which I love. And it’s really BIG, which is my favorite part. I need lots of room for each day and I love that I can see my entire week at once (without having to sacrifice on space). I don’t really use the monthly reviews much, but I kind of wish I did. Honestly, I could probably use some better goal planning in my life, maybe I’ll try and implement that aspect of the planner in 2019.
Cultivate What Matters
This isn’t really a daily planner, but I wanted to include it because this truly is an incredible product that everyone needs to know about! Have you ever heard of Power Sheets? They’re amazing for setting goals with intention so that you can actually make things happen! If you plan to fail, then you fail to plan, right? So the Cultivate What Matters planner helps you think through your personal goals – whether work, family, or health-related – to make them a reality. The secret behind making any sort of change in your life is the baby steps that you take each day. This planner helps you think through why you want to make he change and steps you through you to make it happen.
I really hope y’all find this helpful! I know it’s a lot of information, but I wanted to make sure I covered each of the planners well. Please do weigh in below if you have any insights or experiences with any of these planners!
