6 Easy Holiday Hairstyles

I get a lot of questions about hair, but the funny thing is, I really don’t do much with it (other than a top knot or down slash curled). So I thought it’d be fun to put together a handful of looks that just about anyone can do – if I can, you can! – that would be perfect for holiday parties. These should work with pretty much any hair type, too!

Glam, Low Messy Bun

This is a simple way to spice up a messy bun or if you really don’t like doing your hair – or have time. Just hair spray your fly-away’s, place a messy bun in the middle of your head, and throw on a pretty headband. Easy and fun right? And you don’t even gotta wash your hair. Yassss! This exact headband is sold out (UGH) but I found a similar-ish one at Anthropologie!

Half Up, Half Down With a Festive Bow

Maybe it’s the cheerleader in me, but I’ve ALWAYS loved a big bow – especially for the holidays. I can remember my mom putting us in them for Christmas, and it’s always stuck. This is great if you’re going for a cutesy look, and the velvet makes it fun and trendy.

Cute Ponytail With a Classic Bow or Barette

If the bow above is too crazy for y’all, this is a sweet, classic approach. I actually would like this with hair half-up for or in a pony – kinda French Girl vibes. I think this would look cool with a blazer outfit or a pant suit to kinda play off opposite styles.

Sleek and Tight Low Ponytail with Chic Details

OK and if you don’t like bows altogether, get on trend with this season’s item that is everywhere – pearls! OBSESSED. I think this look is adorable yet classy – and who doesn’t want to be both? It’s just a dressed up pony, but it really pulls together a holiday look & makes you feel kinda snazzy.

Twisted Side Bun

Y’all, this is pretty much the only *fancy* hairstyle I wear, and when I do, I always get compliments. It’s as easy as twisting your hair away from your face or braiding it (like I did), and then bobby pinning it. Then, do a messy bun or even a pony tail. I like to hairspray fly-away’s after, especially if you have bangs. Fun yea?

Soft & Simple, Glam Curls

And for the days we want our hair down, this is a classically beautiful hair style. It’ll never go out of style and it’s a gorg way to dress up a holiday outfit. Tip: brush out your curls to give them the soft, bouncy effect, and use a 1.25-2″ curling iron for bigger curls. I used the 1 1/4 inch Beachwaver wand to get this look below!

Which hair style is your fave? Also, do you like this type of post? It was certainly OUT of my comfort zone, but I’m always down to trying new things. And after one of you reached out asking for suggestions, it sounded like a fun challenge!

If you’re interested, I’m wearing this shirt in a size XS (currently 35% OFF on sale for $27!). It’s longer-ish which I really like and is such an easy go-to (in this color especially + it also comes in a pretty red!) during the Holiday season! And the delicate necklace I’m wearing is a new find that I’ve been loving!
