5 Timeless Jewelry Pieces to Elevate an Outfit

This post was sponsored by JTV.com. I was paid for this post and received JTV.com jewelry pieces as compensation.

I’ve always loved jewels. Even as a little girl, I can remember trying on my mama’s stuff, alongside my sisters, and pretending we were going somewhere fabulous. Anyone else do this? There’s just something fun and girly about blinging yourself out, ya know?

And even though I do love me some flashy jewelry when the occasion calls for it, I’m much more of a classic jewelry kinda gal. Especially as a fashion blogger and when trying to put together outfits for y’all, I don’t feel finished until I have at least one piece of jewelry on (and lipstick). Classic pieces can add so much without trying hard, and I enjoy that classy-effortless feel they bring to whatever I’m wearing.

JTV is a brand that I go to on the reg when I want a new timeless piece that I know I’ll have forever AND is transitional – since that’s key for me (and I can find stuff that’s a good price but looks fancy!). Rarely do I buy something that can’t go with most of my wardrobe; it just doesn’t feel responsible or right for me personally. Since I know so many of y’all are similar and appreciate things that can be worn often and make you feel special, I wanted to round up some of my favorites. These are basically the 5 timeless pieces that I reach for again and again (and again) when getting dressed.

Gold Long Line Necklace

A simple long-line necklace is a statement worthy piece that is timeless in style, especially with this one being gold. You can easily transition a necklace like this from day to night or even layer another necklace to give it more of a boho-chic look – a style I’m actually really digging at the moment. If I didn’t have this necklace on, I think the top of this outfit would have been a bit dull, or unfinished. But since I already had a lot going on with the pants and bag, I chose a classic piece with an on-trend style (as opposed to a simple shorter gold necklace). The one above has been one of my favorite pieces to style and the perfect accessory for my summer outfits or to stack with other dainty gold pieces.

Silver Diamond (Simulant) Earrings

Diamond earrings are without a doubt the ultimate classic jewelry piece. They go with most outfits and always add that extra wow factor or pull you together. I love how classic and feminine they are at the same time, and I reach for this style more than any other pair of earrings. This fabulous drop-down sparkly pair are ideal to wear with a dress to a wedding or a night out on the town – and are a bit more fun than studs. I also like that they are silver, because I think them mixed with all the other gold that I wear looks fresh. If I were to recommend the first investment jewelry to buy, diamond earrings would be my suggestion.

Diamond (Simulant) Tennis Bracelet

Next to diamond earrings, a tennis bracelet has long been a classic jewelry staple. It gained it’s most popularity (and nickname) in the 1980’s when tennis athlete Chris Evert lost her bracelet during a tennis match (thought this fact was fun). Since then it has been one of the most worn accessories that Evert proved can be worn with t-shirts or ball gowns. I love stacking my bracelet with other jewelry, too. Mixing high and low as well as different metals gives it an every day look that can be worn anywhere. It’s definitely an “adult” piece that I worked hard to get and am so in love with this particular one. Plus, I think it’s cool how pieces like this can be passed down.

Gold Diamond Simulant Earrings

Over the last 7 years or so when I started wearing more gold, gold diamond earrings are usually what I reach for everyday. Gold feels very on trend, but the style and diamond factor make these classic at the same time. I’m usually wearing a gold watch, necklace and bracelets so investing in a great pair of gold earrings was definitely a must for me. Love, love, love these with hair up in a bun too.

Rose Gold Diamond (Simulant) Earrings

Rose gold is all the rage this year and these rose gold earrings are the perfect statement maker for a night on the town. They’re actually the same design as my gold ones listed above, but these have a more feminine, stylish twist. I love the detailing of the earrings it really makes the center stone pop. Another great thing about a delicate, detailed earring is that it can make a great conversation starter. I often go up to people asking where they bought their accessories and these earrings are definitely ones to get people talking. Plus, I think it’s so easy to mix and match metals with rose gold.

There you have it – the classic jewelry pieces I rely on to elevate an outfit, make a look more fun, or just finish things off. I honestly feel weird if I’m not wearing one of these essentials and am pretty sure they’ll stick with me for a very long time.
