One of my favorite ways to give gifts during the holidays is by playing White Elephant (you might also have heard it called Yankee Swap or Dirty Santa). I’ve done this gift exchange at several holiday parties over the years and I swear it’s fun every. single. time.
Basically, everyone brings a wrapped gift that gets put into a big pile, each player draws a number, and then got. Each player can either steal a gift that’s already been unwrapped (the good gifts go quick) or pick a new one. You want to be the first person to go because then you get to choose from ALL the gifts that have been unwrapped. I’m sure there are more rules I’m leaving out but that’s the gist. I thought it’d be fun to put together a White Elephant gift guide for y’all in case you have one coming up during the holidays and need some ideas on what to bring.
