What I’m Adding to the Spring Capsule Wardrobe

It’s been four weeks since the launch of BTD’s spring capsule wardrobe and I think it’s safe to say that y’all have loved it and I’m SO glad. I really wanted to provide a major source of inspiration for you guys, so I hope you’ve gotten some ideas or found a few items to perfect your spring wardrobe.

Two weeks ago, you might remember I shared this post, which featured some budget-friendly picks in the capsule. Well, today I’m talking about the capsule again but this time I’m making a little addition to it! I know what you’re thinking – Brighton, the point of a capsule is to keep it limited to a certain number of items. I know, I totally get it. But I really just wanted my capsule to be like a baseline for your wardrobe. Plus, I think it’s smart to be flex with it because you never know what the weather is going to do or what events might pop up.

OK, so you can view everything in the original capsule here, but I’m so excited to share the details on this cute spring dress I found at Nordstrom. I figured with the official launch of spring (last Wednesday) and temperatures on the rise, it’d be fun to add something a little shorter and in a fun color. I mean, isn’t the shade of pink so perfect? You can bet you’ll be seeing me in this dress A LOT this summer. Nordstrom is my favorite place to shop whenever I’m looking for this kind of casual cute dress – you know, something you can wear just about anywhere!

And because spring is all about layering, I pulled the jean jacket from the capsule and also added a pair of white slides. Honestly, though, almost any pair of shoes in the original capsule could work with this dress, so don’t feel like you have to go buy a new pair.
