I have had a surprising amount of fun playing with tables this season! We decided we wanted to have a couple people over for dinner and I got really excited and into making a special moment for the occasion with a fun table setup.
I ordered a few things to go with a couple pieces I already owned. I fell in love with these feather placemats I shared a couple weeks ago but I also loved this Royal Crown Derby china my mom gave us after our wedding (unfortunately, this colorway is discontinued). I didn’t love how they looked together (the placemats and plates), so I decided to put two tables together and have fun with it! I mixed and matched high and low end pieces for this look and love how it turned out! The silverware is from Amazon, the printed plates are fine china (unfortunately discontinued) and the placemats are from Target!
If you saw the first tablescape I shared, which look is your favorite?
I already had these pumpkins from my previous table and decided to keep them for this one as well since pumpkins are basically synonymous with fall. The silverware and candlesticks tied perfectly in with the gold rim around the plates. And to continue with the orange theme, I purchased these rust-colored candles. The hardest part of this table surprisingly were the chargers. I struggled with what color or kind to put under these beautiful plates. Sticking with the “rustic” feeling, I found these wicker chargers from Target and liked how these dressed the plates down a bit plus added some texture.
All this to say that if you are in love with one piece…run with it and don’t be afraid to mix and match colors or pieces that might not normally go together.
