Let’s Talk about Winter Date Night Outfits
I was getting dressed for date night the other day and majorly struggling to figure out a cute outfit that was sassy yet still warm. And I thought….oh gosh, what a GREAT blog post idea! And it just so happens that on my most recent date, I actually wore this exact outfit (Look One Below which is the same as this instagram and also grammed this outfit from another recent date!). Anyway, I thought it would be fun to do a post featuring my GO-TO sassy staple: my faux leather leggings!
Getting dressed for a date is a challenge in and of itself, and then trying to look chic but not look like you’re trying too hard all while its’ freezing outside can be a bit of a debacle (especially if you’re in a huge hurry like I usually am!) Well I’m here to solve those problems and tell you just to go ahead and get yourself a pair of (faux) leather leggings!
How Cold is It Going To Be?
You’ve obviously got to consider the weather when figuring out what to wear on anyh date and this is especially true for dates during the winter months. You should probably have a good idea of how heavy of a coat you’re going to need for that night and how you can incorporate it into your outfit. Hopefully, (for your outfit’s sake. ha!) y’all will be doing something inside and you’ll be able to check your coat once you get there!
What About Shoes?
So this obviously a BIG one but it really just depends on whether you’ll be on your feet a lot or not and what y’all are going to do on your date. For me, I always wear heels because I don’t feel dressed up if I don’t! But depending on what you’ll be doing, you can figure out if it’d be smarter to wear booties, wedges, or high-heeled pumps like I did in these outfits! For instance, I recently went on a date at the zoo and opted to wear my keds since I knew we would be walking around a lot. Again, it really depends on what you’ll be doing and how fancy the spot is too!
My Winter Date Night Go-To: Leather
During the winter months, I basically live in my leather leggings when it comes to going out in general or on dates. I just love the way they look and….they’re SO comfortable! They’re easy to dress up with an oversized sweater or cardigan, but can also easily be dressed down for day time and running errands as well! I’ve even worn mine with my NIKE’s and it’s actually super cute! I’ve put together two simple looks that will hopefully help you out the next time you’re getting dressed for a date (or night out) and can’t figure out what to wear! Let me know what you think!
