Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum: Review & Thoughts

I’ve been trying to get back into beauty reviews lately so I decided to start with some of my absolute ride-or-die products that I’ve been using for a year or more and have repurchased multiple times. One of those products is the Bader Cream and the other is Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum.

Now, I’m not an expert on beauty products, I just try a lot of different products for my job, so don’t take this as this is the only serum you should ever use – I’ve found lots of great serums over the years. That said, this product has simply blown me away! And every time I’m close to running out I tell myself I’ll try out a cheaper option, but I always end up going right back to it. I just feel like it WORKS. And for me, that’s enough.

For the purposes of doing a review though, I of course want to go a bit deeper on the product and the brand than just saying “it works”, so here’s a bit about Vintner’s Daughter to kick us off!

Vintner’s Daughter was actually founded by not only a woman but a fine winemaker named April Garguilo. Winemaking – how cool is that?! According to what I’ve read, this is what kind of laid the foundation she wanted in creating a skincare line – a brand that never sacrificed quality and has an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship. It made so much sense reading this about Vintner’s Daughter because everything about them from the packaging to the product itself screams high quality.

Speaking of high quality, they also have a quality over quantity philosophy when it comes to the number of products they create (which is why they have so few products) that’s centered around the idea of producing less and using less of the Earth’s natural resources. This is probably why I feel like the serum is a miracle product because it does SO much for my skin all in one. Plus I really love the idea of producing less and being more thoughtful and intentional for the planet.

As for the serum itself, Active Botanical Serum is a super “luxurious face oil, formulated with 22 of the world’s most nutrient-rich botanicals” (sourced from organic farms around the world no less!). It’s so, so hydrating and my skin literally drinks it up. What makes it so special is Vintner’s Daughter’s signature Phyto Radiance Infusion™ – “a 21-day process which begins with whole plants and, over the course of three weeks, gently infuses their powerful nutrients into our formula. Added to this infusion is a strategic group of botanical and essential oils to amplify performance and effectively address a broad range of skin concerns.”

For me personally, I feel like it has helped brighten my skin SO much. I feel like my skin has always been pretty clear, but was dull, like it just didn’t look fresh and bright. But ever since starting the active botanicals serum over a year ago, I have never felt like my face is more glowy than it is now. I am very obsessed and could not recommend it more. It’s worth every penny… and it’s kind of a lot of pennies.

The price for a full-size bottle of Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum is $185 – I know, it’s kind of steep. They do offer a subscription program on their website where if you sign up for it, you get every sixth bottle free, which I think sounds like a pretty good deal! You can also try the mini size for $75 if you want to test it out before fully investing.

Honestly, I wouldn’t sleep on this product! It’s GOOD! And the brand seems to have such integrity and pride in their products, which just convinces me even further that I’m a customer for life!
