Two Great Top Styles

I’m always looking for great, versatile tops and today I want to introduce you two of them that I’ve recently discovered. Both tops are super different, but are great staples to have in your closet.

The one I want to show you is an off-the-shoulder top  (I’ve mentioned this one before in one of my recent ‘Online Shopping Diaries’ posts but in a different print. And secondly, I’ll introduce you to a basic (spaghetti strap) V-neck tank that comes in 5 colors.

Love this top! And as I mentioned in that last ‘Online Shopping Diaries’ post, it runs a little small, so I would size up! It comes in three different colors too. This top can’t really be worn to work, but it can be worn several different fun ways for your off-the-clock hours. I’ve worn mine with a skirt (like above), high-waisted jeans (tucked in or untucked) and with skinny jeans. It would also be super cute with shorts and flats!

An easy thin strap black tank is something that (well, for me personally at least) isn’t too exciting to buy but that I’m glad I have when getting dressed. It’s nothing special and probably one of the most basic things I own, but I will say that having a nicer-looking camisole-ish top like this does come in handy. It’s like a camisole, but it’s not super tight and is made of something other than cotton (so it could be dressed up if need be).

This kind of top can be worn in SO many ways. To name a few, it would look great under a jacket or blazer or even just a simple a sweater, but it could also be worn alone with a necklace (like above) or tucked into a skirt or worn with high-waisted jeans and a belt (that was definitely a run-on sentence…but whatever.) SEE IT IN RED here!

The bottom line is that it’s a great piece. And I’ve been wanting one of the beautiful ones that Tibi makes (and continues to bring back each season in new colors), but have never pulled the trigger because that upwards of $200/300 (or whatever it costs) price tag always killed it for me. So this is a great alternative AND it comes in 5 colors! I also have this one in red (you should be seeing it soon!)

I’m wearings size 2 – see it in red in this post!) // Jeans: Rag & Bone ‘The Skinny’ Jeans (how they fit: super stretchy and very comfortable, but a little thiner than other brands, which I like but just fyi!) // Necklace: c/o Aquamarine Courtney Bib // Bag: LP Blue ‘Skylar’ Satchel (also comes in blush pink!) // WedgesHinge Wedge Sandals in black // Sunglasses: Prada Cat Eye Sunglasses
