This week I put together looks specifically for a Spring date night outfit. For me, when it comes to putting together a cute outfit for a date, I want to feel all the things in just the right way: cute, sexy, put-together, effortless, and confident! I want to look like I tried, but not like I tried too hard if you know what I mean?
So sometimes if my outfit is super extra, then I’ll throw my hair up in a pony tail. Or if I spent extra time on my hair, then I won’t wear eyeliner or something. I want to look good but still effortless – unless it’s a super fancy date in which case I will go ALL out! Anyway, for these looks, I put together a few things I’ve been wearing so far this Spring that I hope will inspire your date night looks! Let me know which one is your favorite!
There’s something about a high-waisted skirt (regardless of the length) that always makes me feel confident and like my best self! And when you add in the combo of having a midi-length skirt with a sassy little slit, I think this skirt is ALL THE DATE NIGHT THINGS if you ask me. I love it so much! I don’t typically like polka dots but something about this one still drew me in.
If you were interested in this exact one, I didn’t want you to feel like you could only style it with white, so I put together another look with black and then did a little print-mixing with my snakeskin slides! I love how BOTH looks turned out!
I love little dresses like this! I actually wore this exact one to dinner last night and my boyfriend really liked it 🙂 It’s simple, feminine, flirty and cute! also, it would look adorable with white sneakers and a denim jacket for a more casual look!
I was a little weary about this dress because I don’t really *love* bodycon dresses anymore, but something about this one felt a little different. Honestly, I think it must be the smocking?! and I wasn’t sure how I would love the sleeves either – I was thinking they might be too much. But then once I tried it on and put on my confidence-boosting wedges, I WAS ALL IN – I love it! I think it’s super flattering and I felt great it!
Since the dress is more fitted, I figured it would work really well with a high-waisted skirt. I paired it hear with a denim skirt but it would also look cute with a high-waisted midi skirt maybe?! Regardless, it doubles as a top! And my bag is super old or else I’d link it!
I wanted a super feminine, semi-conservative look for date night too. There’s something about a sweet little dress like this that makes me feel like such a woman – if that makes sense? But even though it’s on the longer side, the sassy neckline shows a little more skin which makes it perfect for date night (not saying you have to show skin lol but I do think this dress is the perfect balance). Sadly, this dress won’t be available online until a little after May 1 – I’ll update y’all as soon as it’s available! These shoes are from last year but I found them on Saks in a few sizes if you’re interested!
When I don’t know what to wear or feel like figuring it out, I always resort to skinny jeans and a flirty top for date night. I typically throw in a pair of wedges to make me feel skinnier and taller (ha!) OR I’ll roll up my jeans and throw on flats!
I hardly ever shop at Abercrombie & Fitch, but I went in there a few weeks ago to grab a sweatshirt I’d seen in an advertisement (there was no logo or branding in sight on it – don’t worry), and I came across this tank. It was too good not to grab! I love the lace detailing and think it look great paired with a denim or leather jacket! My exact jeans are from the #Nsale last year and aren’t available anymore sadly!
