I love these DK heels…they are a definite go-to shoe because they match just about anything and they aren’t too flashy — just a good, basic brown, leather heel. Oh, and they’re super comfortable too! This post features one of my favorite looks: gold sequins &  red (but not a bright red, more of a rouge red like this purse). If I had the DK red pumps with me, I would have worn them! (but they weren’t in from the factory yet :()

It seems like this time of year is super busy for everyone. Now that Christmas is over, it’s all about the New Year…and cleaning up all the mess from the holidays. Several fashion bloggers have done posts on what to wear for New Years. I think it’s a great idea and definitely good inspiration, but I don’t think i’ll be doing one of those this year. Most people imagine bright-and-shiny-things for NYE…If you want my (amateur) advice, I would suggest doing some Neon with a touch of bright-and-shiny, rather than head-to-toe sequins. I don’t mean cheesy neon, I just mean bright and fun. Ha, now watch me wear sequins on New Years after saying this….maybe I’ll post on what I wear. (thoughts? don’t care? curious?) I actually have a wedding on New Years in New Orleans, and I am not sure how to balance the whole woohoo-it’s-NYE-look with the proper wedding attire.
