It’s been WAY too long since I’ve posted a Typography Tuesday inspirational quote! Although I enjoy posting about fashion and such, my true passion is (believe it or not) learning. And despite the fact that my sans-fashion posts usually take longer and require a little more thought, I actually really look forward to sharing these insights with you all. Even though I sometimes get a little self conscious before pressing publish. And to be completely honest, I usually find myself at a complete loss for words when it comes to writing something about about my outfit photos. Sometimes it just makes me feel pretty shallow – like, oh let me talk about what I’m wearing and clothes and Blah. But don’t get me wrong, I’m not belittling fashion blogging in any way – it’s just that my thoughts aren’t usually about clothes (ha!). In other words, I’m usually chewing on something much more serious – and most like over analyzing it as well. If you ask anyone that knows me well, they would no doubt agree that I am quite a thinker. My mind is always going. Always analyzing and trying to make sense of the world around me. And I have a (somewhat annoying) tendency to persistently ask “why?” way too often, which only feeds my swirling thoughts and curious mind with even more thinking and “digesting”, if you will. So yeah, there’s a lot more going on up there than just fashion. 😉
But I’ll admit that I do get a little nervous to talk about the more serious stuff. At the end of the day, though, it’s refreshing and liberating to share the more personal and thought-provoking stuff! So welcome back type Tuesday….I’ve missed you!
It’s nice to be important. But it’s more important to be nice.
This one’s for everyone – but especially to all the mean girls. Stop being so nasty – it’s really NOT a good look.
But really though – I think this is an extremely valuable lesson and a motto that we should ALL live by each and every day. Because like I mentioned in this instagram post, what do you really gain from being ugly to others? And like I mentioned in this post a few months ago, people will always remember how you made them feel. And don’t you want to be remembered for making them feel good?!
